LCDT™ CLIENT PACK WALKS

"The Good news for all creatures"

DOG TRAINING IS LIKE OUR WALK WITH CHRIST, IT IS A JOURNEY NOT A DESTINATION.

At our PACK WALK & MONTHLY MAINTENANCE GROUP CLASS, you will get to practice the LIFE CHANGING DOG TRAINING™ to help your dogs learn to acclimate to process their emotions by communicating through the leash. You will get to practice around distractions of other dogs and humans which is an entirely different experience for your dog versus practicing alone.  Dogs and humans learn from each other and it's how we overcome the obstacles we face by sharing strategies and encouraging each other!   God did not create us to do life alone, so not only do we have Him to guide us but we have each other to lean on. Praise the Lord!

You will also get the hear the gospel in a way you probably never have before as I explain how the Father sees us and our dogs. And you will get to practice rebuilding your relationship with your dog and God. By communicating ON LEASH with your dogs through the COMMUNICATIVE LEASHWORK PROCESS®  as the foundation, you will start to see your dog's behavior change no matter what tools you are using.   The classes are also a great opportunity for a dog to practice controlling their emotions when meeting or passing other dogs and people, and not reacting, behaving well on leash, and experiencing a variety of locations, environments, and situations.

Pack Walks and Maintenance Classes are a good place to start for people and dogs who are on the shy, timid, or anxious side as it gives them a chance to build confidence by meeting other dogs whom they may be able to play with off-leash with someday.  If that is too hefty of a goal for your dog, then just learning to tolerate being in the presence other dogs is a great achievement and helps makes your daily walks a more peaceful experience. Just like humans, if dogs don't have a point of reference to understand how to behave it can remain difficult for them to change.

The Pack Walk & Monthly Maintenance Group Class is also a good place to start for dog owners if their dogs cannot be off leash to be able to provide them with a pack.  For people, group classes are not only a good chance to get some fresh air and exercise, spend some time with your dog, and work on your dog's socialization, but it is also a great way to meet people yourself!  It is so nice to be able to connect with other dog lovers who want to learn to help their dog be the best they can be and learn about Jesus. Knowing we are not alone, and that others can relate to what you are going through, changes everything!

Hope to see you all there!

prepare for the walk & CLASS

  • Please arrive on time in order to hear proper instructions for your dogs and to ensure we are prepared to work together; gives your dogs a little time to acclimate

  • Please have your dog already fitted with a proper collar, leash and safety equipment.  This will be addressed on our private session.

  • Make sure you wear proper shoes and clothing for a hike and to work with your dog.

  • Bring water for you and your dogs at breaks and for the end of the walk.

  • Focus on keeping calm energy and applying pressure to your dog for any long stares and releasing when they are in a better state of mind.

  • Please don't be embarrassed if your dog has a meltdown, we address any issues someone is having and then learn how to handle these situations if they come up outside of class.

  • When we are working in groups around other people with their dogs, we always ask that you be aware of your surroundings and how close your dog is to others. Learning how to properly advocate for your dog based on how they feel in any given situation will help them relax.

  • If we encounter any loose dogs or distractions, stay calm and we will address the situation and practice properly advocating for our dogs.

  • Learn to appreciate the small victories and thank God for calmness and your dog will start to exhibit being around other people and dogs during the class.

THANK GOD WE ARE NOT ALONE.
